About the book:
This is the seventh book that I coordinate on the interrelations between taxation and accounting after the adoption of IFRS ("International Financial Reportting Standards") as a Brazilian accounting standard. A constant in the six previous books was that all of them had a contribution from one of the great names of our Tax Law: Elidie Palma Bifano.
The work of Elidie Palma Bifano and her contribution to the development of Tax Law in Brazil are unquestionable. That it is a reference on corporate taxation anyone who has started interning in this field knows – or should know. Still, as I always say, we don't honor works, we honor people. Their works and contributions are just the excuse for us to mark the importance of certain enlightened people in our trajectories. I consider Elidie a friend that Tax Law gave me and I hope that this book, even if small compared to everything she represents, is received as a demonstration of appreciation from me, from the authors and from everyone who would certainly have liked to have participated but who were not here.
